a couple of notes.
*the birthday boy, we found out today, had pnemonia during his birthday bash. {no worries, he's on antibiotics now.}
*chickens, pigs, burlap, yellow flowers, old mason jars, and red & white gingham make for cute, cute barnyard birthday decor.
*jett insists that no party is complete without party hats. walmart doesn't have barnyard party hats. transformers made due. {perfect, right?}
*there was a hay ride. we went to see the cows. they may or may not have thought about charging our wagon for the hay we sat upon. i may or may not have been a bit fearful. {there were huge horns upon their heads!}

last night my mother-in-law thought it would be a great idea to send my son in a small airplane with my father-in-law, a family friend who's a pilot, and his 4-year old son.
i thought it to be not a great day to risk ones life.
{especially not my sons life...}

but, having such a strong faith, knowing that all would be okay, i let him go.
and sent him with my camera.

so. i burned all four fingers and had two blisters as battle scars.
that's what i get for #1 not following meg's directions and #2 being a good momma and crafting with my kiddos.
next time, i'll use push pins. *rolls eyes*

hubs sent all of my christmas gifts to his parents house in florida.
one said "open on december 24".
i told his dad that meant that i can open it on midnight after the 23rd.
at 9:30 tonight his mom said that it's midnight somewhere...

guess what i got!



oh yeah!
the battery is charging now.
i will be playing with this bad boy all day tomorrow!

i may or may not have burned my fingertipes with hot glue tonight doing christmas craft #6...
oh, i did.

i got the blisters to prove it.

anyway, this one also comes from meg. she got it from crystal.

she's the queen of crafts in my book. love her, that meg.

she got her ornies at target.
i couldn't find enough for my four kiddos and my nephew, noah, at target so i decided to go with these from walmart. cheaper and more of them in one package. steal of a deal.


i don't remember who's is who's right now...
my fingertips all burn too badly to get up and figure it all out.
just know that each of my four monkeys made one and they are too cute!
some have scarves and some do not. cute either way!






i did write each of their names on the palm of their hand.
so 50 years from now, when i'm old and gray, i'll remember who's teeny hand it belonged to.
