the last day of school.

this little guy is officially going into kindergarten next year!
Untitled
his one fear of moving on to kindergarten?? ...naps.

this is the fourth grade gang right here.
they are all inseperable.
and since they all live on the same street {or one street over} they constantly play together, as well.
i'm seriously gonna miss this group of kids!!!

the sweetest thing ever...
all of the teachers were lined up waving and bidding the kids farewell after school.
a well of emotions came up.
i love this school.
i'll miss it so.
Last day of school.

this was jonah's 1st grade teacher last year. {we held him back for another year of first grade. mrs. bagatini called it "the gift of time." it was truly a blessing. and another post.}
my heart needed to tell her how thankful i was for all she did for jonah last school year.
i needed to give her a big hug and get one last picture.
she's retiring this year...the sign she held seemed so fitting.
we bid mrs. bagatini one more goodbye.
Jonah and Mrs. Bagatini

if you're moving to the fort campbell area...jackson elementary is where it's at!

I don't know you personally, know your kids, or your kids' teachers... and I felt the tears welling up. Gah! We don't get out of school until next week, and we are moving to a new state over the summer. I just realized how much I am going to lose it next Friday. I am so happy your kids were in a school that was great for them. I know that God has a wonderful school lined up for you in Florida!

Have a great day, Melissa!

Hi there! I know this blog post is years old, but I stumbled upon it when looking to see if Mrs. Bagatini was still in the Fort Campbell, KY area. Believe it or not, but she was my kindergarten and first grade teacher back in 1985 and 1986. What a joy to see that she continued in the profession all these years and many students were blessed to receive her teaching. She was one of my favorite teachers and I still remember her kind and gentle spirit. Thanks for taking me down memory lane. :-) I hope your Jonah enjoyed her class and is continuing to do well in school (as well as your other children, too). God's blessings to you and your family!
