going to the beach an hour or so before dusk, i'm convinced, is the BEST time to go.
it's not too hot.
it's not too sticky.
it's not too crowded.
the lighting is perfect for photos.
the lighting is PERFECT for photos.
yep, it was worth saying twice.
noah picked up all of these shells…
when I asked him to show me he turned his nose up to me.
jonah brought himself the boogie board and had a grand ole time!!!
and this little boy…
he’s got more personality than just about anyone I know.
who doesn’t like her picture taken.
the above stinker can also be precious….
jake and jonah built a “drench.”
aka, a trench.
once the sun set and it got good and dark the fireworks started!
no matter how old i get i will always love a good fireworks show!!!
our funny story from the day?
at 8:30 pm a police officer drove down the beach and told everyone they needed to be at least fifteen feet away from the water.
anyway, jett had bbq sauce all over his hands because we had just finished eating bbq chicken.
as soon as the police officer drove past us hubs told jett to run to the water and rinse his hands really quick.
that man whipped his truck around and said over the intercom “the parents who just let their kid run back to the water after I told you to stay away will be asked to leave if it happens again!”
who’s kid was that???
oh yeah, ours.
HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY, Y’ALL!!!!!!
