Is Life Really THAT Hard?

Tonight I was going through old photos, looking for an old back-to-school picture of the kids, and I found this picture. This was the last time I talked to my husband when he was in Afghanistan, before he came home from deployment. I miss military life. He misses military life. We really thought THIS was what hard life was. Countless trainings away from home, deployments, late nights, and early mornings. There wasn't much else that could be tougher. Boy, were we wrong. 

When you think life is hard, and you're questioning "why me?", remember that it's only a season. And, one day that seemingly hard season may end, and you'll miss it like crazy!

The Waters May Be Muddy...

The thing I love most about Instagram is all of the pretty pictures that I can scroll through each day. Sadly, those pretty pictures sometimes are only a piece of someone's story, where they are in life. We aren't seeing their season of struggle. Their walk through muddy waters is not evident. | Is there someone in your tribe who you're missing today? Reach out and tell them. Pray for them. This online space, while HUGE, can be small and intimate if you love on and engage with the people within it. | Hugs to you today. Yes, YOU! You're not alone in whatever you're battling today.
