happy.

it's the most exciting part of lunchtime.
the mail comes!

in the last couple of weeks i've gotten a couple happy packages.

first, meg sent me a wonderful box full of goodies.

measuring spoons, little bowls {in a rainbow of colors}, an oven mitt, a tea towel...


and an apron.

i love it all!!!

my second fun package came from crystal at littlebitfunky.

these super cute, and comfy, headbands.

a couple of weeks ago my friend, jamie, and i went to the goodwill.
one of my first stops in that store is the frame section.
one can never have too many nice frames.

this teddy bear hot air balloon yarn art caught my eye.
i loved it!
but, seriously! where does one put such a picture?!?!

i left without paying the $3.99 for the floating bears.

can you believe i thought about those blasted bears everyday since then?
for real.
like, would pop into the goodwill every couple days to see if they was still there.

today was the day.
i had a couple things to return and therefore knew i'd be headed there.
telling myself that i would use the return money to get it and also telling myself it would be ok if those bears were in someone else's house now.

it was still there!!!!!
{jamie said it's because it's ugly and no one wanted it. whatev! it's awesome!}


once i've spray painted the ugly brown frame it'll hang in mckinley's room.
she can thank me later. :0)

oh man, this stuff is good!!!

hmmm....southern style salsa paired with tortilla chip strips and dt mtn dew may or may not have been my meal that night.
and my late night snack.
and my mid morning snack the following day.
i might or might not have raved about it to my father and mother in-law and then made it for them when we were in florida for spring break.
it's good stuff.
you'll think so too!


i just noticed the recipe says 12 servings....
um, it was more like 3.
for what it's worth, i'm a BIG scooper....like maybe a teaspoon full on one chip...
