STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS Trailer

If you're a fan of all-things Star Wars, chances are you've already seen this trailer. More so, you've probably watched it time and time again to see what you missed the first time you watched it. If you're a super fan, you've even pre-purchased your tickets for the nationwide midnight premiere on December 17th, or the 18th, however you'd like to look at it. I have a friend who loves Star Wars so much that she has tickets to go see it on the 17th, 18th, and 19th! And, I'm guessing she'll see it even more in theaters than those three times.

I want to share with you a few new posters that were released today, also. I love that you can look at each of these posters and know they are from the same movie without looking at the movie title. There's something to say about the sameness of them all. The Harrison Ford one is my favorite.

So, just in case you haven't seen the trailer yet, watch the video below. Even this girl, who isn't a super fan, is looking forward to this movie!

Disney's Tomorrowland {a New Feature Film Coming Soon}

This trailer for Disney's Tomorrowland was just released today. As with all Disney films, in my opinion, it's going to be one we won't want to miss. Need an explanation? George Clooney. I see you checking the calendar for it's release date!

Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy {Coming Soon to Theaters}

Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” finds space adventurer Peter Quill the object of a bounty hunt after stealing an orb coveted by a treacherous villain, but when Quill discovers the power it holds, he must find a way to rally the quartet of ragtag rivals hot on his trail to save the universe.
Have you seen the trailer for the upcoming movie Guardians of the Galaxy? If you're a fan of super heroes, you're going to love it! Even if super heroes aren't your thing, I think you're going to enjoy it. {I'll tell you for sure after July 24 when I go see it at a media screening.}

James Gunn is the director of the film with Kevin Feige, p.g.a., producing. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Jeremy Latcham, Alan Fine and Stan Lee serve as executive producers. Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” is written by James Gunn and Nicole Perlman and releases in U.S. theaters on August 1, 2014.

Speaking of the Polar Vortex...a Disney's Frozen Review.

Today Hubs and I picked up Princess {McKinley} from preschool and took her to see Disney's Frozen. I have been wanting to see this movie myself. Have you seen the previews with Olaf and the moose, Sven??? I mean really, I HAD to see it!



You remember now, right?

Oh.My.Goodness. this movie SURPASSED my expectations. I was crying in the first five minutes. Maybe it was my postpartum hormones with having now two girls, sisters. {my mind immediately jumped in the future to my two girls loving each other's friendship and company!} Maybe it was just that this movie is too sweet, from the get go, to put into words. It was phenomenal.

I mean, really, try not to fall in love with this cutie! And then the story line...oh, my!

Really, I kept playing in my mind McKinley and Mabry all grown up and loving one another...


{I pretty much yelled "PUDDLE" in the theater when Olaf was singing....you'll see!}

This scene? This song? Seriously...you MUST go see this movie!!


I'm not going to tell you again! GO! Go see this movie! It's amazing!

Even my husband said it's amazing. The soundtrack is right up there with the likings of The Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid. Classic Disney music. Must see. Must hear. GO!

That is all. I can say no more. Just. Go.

julie and julia

i just sat down to watch julie&julia.
so far so good.
if i'm correctly gathering what this movie is all about then it will be a great one.
and right up my alley.
i love to blog and i love to cook.

ok, first of all, i'm going to start with the ending since it's fresh in my mind.
i can not stand for a movie to end like this.
i do not want to read what happened to julie powell and julia child.
i want to see it.

was there not enough in the production budget?
did the producers think that the last of julie's 365 day project was where it should end?
i have another twenty minutes to see julie meet with editors and agents to see exactly how her blog became a book.
i would not mind a few more minutes of my me time to watch what happens when julia child gets her book published and becomes fabulously wealthy.

oh, i'm irritated.
i'm glad i only paid $1 at the quickflix stand at the PX for this movie.
i expected more.
much more.

did i mention how i hate when a movie ends this way???
i'm big on movie endings.
ask hubs.
he knows when a movie ends if i'm going to scream at the screen for more.

perfect example.
persuit of happiness.
i don't want the ending to imply that they become successful salesman or whatever it was they did...
i want to see them prosper and live happily ever after.

implication endings (for the sake of this post that's what i'm naming them) are no good for me.

oh boy.
i'm going to step down off of my soap box now.

any producers of major motion pictures that are do to wrap in the coming months,
listen up! pay the extra few dollars and keep the film rolling.
the audience wants to see more!

on a happy note, julie&julia wasn't horrible.
i really enjoyed watching julie cook her way through that year.
the lobster bit was my favorite.

was julia really that tall?
meryl streep isn't though, is she?
was she wearing tall shoes to play the part?
did you notice they seldom showed her feet in the movie?? especially when she was in a crowd of people.

so, i'm no critic.
and this movie has been out for quite some time.
i'm probably the last to watch it even.
but, if i had to give it like a star rating...
out of five i'd give it a three.
not one i'd have to watch again.
but, one i wouldn't say "never watch that dreadful movie".
