Kindergarten, Here She Comes

On August 19, 2013 I took McKinley to her first day of preschool. I expected her to learn her ABC's and 123's, colors and shapes, and maybe to read a few words along the way. Little did I expect her to enter pre-k a little four-year-old and finish the school year an all-grown-up five-year-old. She is ready to enter kindergarten, for sure!

McKinley made lots of new friends. Her best friend is Aaron. Every morning they walked in to school together and every afternoon we walked out to the truck with he and his mom. We ALL became friends.

I'm excited for our Princess. She's going to do great in kindergarten!

12 days of Christmas. {teacher edition}

a few days ago ashley posted a picture on her instagram of a gift she was giving her son's teacher.
and then the next day she posted another.
i loved it.
and knew my boy's teachers would love it too.

it's a small gift every day for 12 days.
and an inexpensive way to bring a smile to your child's teacher's face every day, for 12days.

one of jake's teachers texted me as soon as she got it saying it was one of the best gifts she had received in a while!

the boys are excited to take a gift every day.
i might have created a couple of gift giving monsters.

what do you give your children's teachers for christmas?

a keepsake.

i had a little fun with jett's first day of school picture.
and created a keepsake for the scrapbook and also one of many photos to be added to the gallery wall i'm thinking of.
might even be a good gift for the grandparents...

field day, day one.

jake had his field day today.
it's been postponed twice now.
i'm so glad it finally came.

do you remember field day?
i seem to remember it being called play day.

a day filled with friends and LOTS of fun!!!
