moving at a turtle's pace.

Mabry was born thirteen days ago. In those thirteen days I've been moving slow and have been tied down to a demanding baby. She nurses every thirty minutes to an hour...and refuses to be put down. The first week we were home is pretty much a blur. I was either sleeping or nursing. {I am BY NO MEANS complaining...please don't misread that as complaining.}

My amazing Hubs did ALL of the housework. His day consisted of getting up early, getting the four big kids up and ready for school, taking them to school--three different schools for the four of them-- and coming home and making me breakfast. Then, he would get ready to go back to get McKinley, spend a little bit of time at home and then go get the little boys and then Jake. By the time he gets back it's almost dinner time. And then bath time and bed time. Rinse and repeat.

Y'all, this man of mine is the BEST! When he goes back to work I'm going to have some serious adjusting to do.

Until then, I'm moving slow. I'm taking it easy. I'm soaking in every bit of my last baby. My Mabry Mae.

{these pictures clearly have nothing to do with this post...other than the turtle reference. Jett found this turtle in our backyard a few weeks ago. No, we didn't keep it. We have our own people zoo!}
