Recruiting Guests in Tomorrowland for Disney Parks Blog

A few weeks ago, Jake Austin and I had the amazing opportunity to go to Walt Disney World Resort for the 24 Hour Coolest Summer Event with Disney Parks Blog and a couple hundred of their other readers. One of the activities planned for all of us was a private viewing of Disney's newest film, Tomorrowland. The movie was FANTASTIC!! {I talk more about it here, here, and here.} Three families were chosen to participate in a special filming, with park guests, after the movie screening was over. Jake Austin and I were one of the three! 

After the movie, our job was to find a family in the Magic Kingdom, give them a pin, and recruit them to come along to Tomorrowland with us. {If you've seen the movie then this makes sense to you. If you haven't seen the movie, what's stopping you? It was out of this world FANTASTIC!!}

To say a lot goes in to filming is an understatement. We filmed at least 20 minutes of footage and they used two seconds of us. Not kidding. Check us out in the video below. {we're at 0:49}

A Sneak-Peek at Our #Disney24 'Tomorrowland' Adventure with Disney Parks Blog

Last week, I gave you a glimpse into what our 24-hour day at Disney looked like. Today, I noticed that Disney Parks Blog posted a fun little video, and Jake Austin and I can be seen in it more than once! {Look for us next to Mickey at the very beginning and again flapping our "wings" in front of Orange Bird.} Check it out!

Kicking Off the Coolest Summer Ever at Walt Disney World Resort

This past Friday, Jake Austin and I were invited to go with the Disney Parks Blog to kick-off the Coolest Summer Ever at Walt Disney World Resort. We're not talking about an ordinary day in Magic Kingdom, y'all. We're talking about a 24 hour {yes, 24 HOURS of Disney!} event that happens only once a year!

First things first, we left our house at midnight on May 22 to drive to Walt Disney World and check-in at 4am. We got there at about 3am, and can you believe we were one of THREE cars in the parking lot? Front row parking! It was Disney MAGIC!

After we checked in, we took the Ferryboat over to the Magic Kingdom and were whisked away to watch the Opening Festivities.

Once inside the park, we watched the final few minutes of the flag raising ceremony on our way to breakfast. {did you know there was a flag raising ceremony in the morning and one again, to retire the flag for the day, in the evening? I'll write about it soon.} Disney Parks Blog hosted a super yummy breakfast for the 500 readers that were there to join them.

Another pretty cool sighting was the Jet Pack and Costume used in Disney's newest film, Tomorrowland.

After breakfast, we were treated to a special screening of Tomorrowland in Downtown Disney's AMC Theatre.

All of the above mentioned fun happened before noon. There was still PLENTY of hours left to enjoy the Magic Kingdom and all it has to offer. But, I'll tell you about it another day. :)

Disney's newest full-length feature film Tomorrowland is sure to be nothing short of amazing! {I mean, George Clooney. Need I say more?}

When the most recent trailer was released yesterday, and I saw it, I knew it was a movie I did NOT want to miss!

In Disney’s riveting mystery adventure “Tomorrowland,” a jaded scientist and an optimistic teen embark on a danger-filled mission to unearth the secrets of an enigmatic place somewhere in time and space.

Watch this.

Right?! You don't need to be a George Clooney fan, a Disney fan OR a Sci-Fi fan to see that this movie is going to be an edge-of-your-seat kind of film. May 22, 2015 it hits theaters. Mark your calendar. Make it a date night!

Disney's Tomorrowland {a New Feature Film Coming Soon}

This trailer for Disney's Tomorrowland was just released today. As with all Disney films, in my opinion, it's going to be one we won't want to miss. Need an explanation? George Clooney. I see you checking the calendar for it's release date!
