We're leaving for Walt Disney World in three days. THREE DAYS!! Some days I think I'm more excited than the kids. I can.not.wait!
One souvenir that was always a favorite when I was a kid was an autograph book. I can remember getting one each time my mom and I would go to Disney World. Standing in line with my book and pen in hand waiting to meet the characters was THE BEST! {of course, the rides were great, too!} I figured I would pass that tradition along to my kids. But, being the crafty gal that I am, I needed a DIY version of the autograph book. And, it needed to be personalized. Because, well, you know, everything is cuter when it's adorned with your name!
The first page has our family name and the date.
There's a section for each theme park we'll be visiting on this trip. {I also included a couple of pages with the resort name, just in case there's a character sighting there.}
The back cover has Mickey's famous saying, "See ya real soon!"
Since McKinley is a girly-girl, I added bunches of ribbon to hers. Just as I suspected, she LOVES it!
These were really simple to make. An added bonus, there's enough extra pages inside that the kids can later add pictures of themselves with the characters that signed their books!
With a little knowledge in Microsoft Word and having a printing shop nearby, you can make these, too!
Here's how:
1. Create your pages in Microsoft Word or similar program. I downloaded Waltograph and Brady Bunch fonts for my words. {The Mickey heads were added later with a black Sharpie pen. The Mickey and Minnie stickers were purchased at Michael's Crafts.}
2. Email your pages to your local print shop to be printed. Be sure to send them as a PDF file. I made the mistake of not doing that the first time and the font was way off.
3. Cut your pages to size. I learned after asking the gal to trim my pages to 5x7 inches that EACH cut is $1.10. Cutting each sheet was going to cost $4.40. For real. So, I made sure to bring my own cutter to the shop and used the great big table they had available and cut my own pages to size.
4. Laminate your front and back cover sheets. {This is something that the print shop will also do. It's like a one-stop-shop!} I think laminating the covers are going to make this keepsake something they can actually keep. :o)
5. Have your book spiral bound. OfficeMax also does binding. Ask if your shop does this.
Total cost of each of my books was under $10. Maybe the same cost as the one you can purchase at the park gift shops...but, way cuter!
This idea was adapted from Dixie Delights.

How To Draw Judy Hopps From Disney's ZOOTOPIA
Ask me what my favorite movie of 2016 has been so far. Go ahead, ask me. ZOOTOPIA!! Hands down, best movie of 2016!
I took my 8 year old, Jett, with me to see a pre-screening, and it was fabulous! The trailer, honestly, didn't have me too excited for this film. But, I'm glad I went against my instincts to go see it.
Zootopia is laugh out loud hilarious. It'll teach you that no matter how small you may be, BIG things can happen when you believe in yourself. Also, when told you can't do something, try harder. Seriously, you guys, so many life lessons rolled into one film. I LOVE IT!
FUN FACT: Artists were inspired by Mufasa from Disney’s classic film “The Lion King” when creating the look of Mayor Lionheart. I thought he resembled some lion we've seen before.
Wanna draw that go-getter little bunny who has hopped her way into everyone's heart? Grab a pencil and some paper, and watch this video. Oooohhh, she's just so cute!
If you haven't gone to see Zootopia yet, what are you waiting for?? If you have gone to see it, what did you think? Awesome, right?!?!

Which one [or two] of these movies are you most excited about? I have to say, The Jungle Book is a movie I grew up watching, I'm super excited for this live-action version! Pete's Dragon is another childhood favorite. Finding Dory is, hopefully, going to be as great as Finding Nemo. Moana has a new Disney Princess, so, of course, I'm excited for this one. Oh goodness, I think I'm excited for just about ALL of these movies.
See you at the movies!

Disney's THE JUNGLE BOOK -- Coming Soon to Theaters
Who here remembers Mowgli? You know, the lanky little boy that grew up in the jungle, that was raised by a family of wolves, and had a bear named Baloo for a best friend. It's a classic animated Disney film that most of us grew up watching. If we're being honest, it's STILL a favorite film of mine.
Disney is at it again, and has created live-action version of our favorite animated classic, to be released into theaters on April 15, 2016.
Directed by Jon Favreau (“Iron Man”), based on Rudyard Kipling’s timeless stories and inspired by Disney’s classic
animated film, “The Jungle Book” is an all-new live-action epic adventure about Mowgli (newcomer Neel Sethi), a
man-cub who’s been raised by a family of wolves. But Mowgli finds he is no longer welcome in the jungle when
fearsome tiger Shere Khan (voice of Idris Elba), who bears the scars of Man, promises to eliminate what he sees
as a threat. Urged to abandon the only home he’s ever known, Mowgli embarks on a captivating journey of self-
discovery, guided by panther-turned-stern mentor Bagheera (voice of Ben Kingsley), and the free-spirited bear
Baloo (voice of Bill Murray). Along the way, Mowgli encounters jungle creatures who don’t exactly have his best
interests at heart, including Kaa (voice of Scarlett Johansson), a python whose seductive voice and gaze
hypnotizes the man-cub, and the smooth-talking King Louie (voice of Christopher Walken), who tries to coerce
Mowgli into giving up the secret to the elusive and deadly red flower: fire.
The all-star cast also includes Lupita Nyong'o as the voice of the fiercely protective mother wolf Raksha, and Giancarlo Esposito as the voice of wolf pack’s alpha male Akela. “The Jungle Book” seamlessly blends live-action with photorealistic CGI animals and environments, using up-to-the-minute technology and storytelling techniques to immerse audiences in an enchanting and lush world. The wild adventure swings into theaters in 3D on April 15, 2016.

A few FUN FACTS about The Jungle Book:

man-cub.
-
The all-star voice cast includes Oscar®-winners Ben Kingsley (“Learning to Drive,” “The Walk”), Lupita Nyong’o
(“12 Years a Slave,” “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”) and Christopher Walken ("The Deer Hunter"), as well as Bill Murray ("Lost in Translation"), Idris Elba (“Star Trek Beyond”), Scarlett Johansson (“Avengers: Age of Ultron”) and Giancarlo Esposito ("Breaking Bad').
-

Vermont.
- State-of-the-art technology is behind larger-than-life jungle creatures that join Neel Sethi’s Mowgli on screen in an all-new, immersive, jaw-dropping viewing experience. The film will be spectacular in 3D and IMAX 3D.

3 Souvenirs You MUST Get While at Walt Disney World Resort
Our family has been to the Walt Disney World Resort a time or two...or twenty, in our 14 years of togetherness. {We had seasonal passes for a few years and would take weekend or day trips.} Over those years, we haven't bought a whole lot of toys or gifts. We kind of pride ourselves on not bringing home souvenirs that will be tossed aside or left at the wayside. When we DO let the kids pick a souvenir we have them think about it and come back to it. If it's something they really want, they'll still be thinking about it hours later, after they've seen other things.
We've come home with Glow with the Show Mickey Ears, a Rapunzel princess dress from Bibbiti Bobbiti Boutique, a stuffed animal snake and leopard for my animal lovers.
When I make my way back down to the MAGIC that is in Walt Disney World, I have a short list of souvenirs that I would love to bring home with me, for me. After all, adults love bringing home fun things, too!

My husband has a coffee cup collection. He has collected mugs from just about every location he went to an Army training for, we have mugs from when we lived in Fort Campbell and I've made him a few mugs with the kids pictures on them. Recently, we started buying mugs from places we visit. Our most recent mug is from Portland, ME. {We LOVE Maine! Especially a select group of people there that we now call family!} His collection has become our collection and I like to add one or two here and there, too! I mean, we both drink coffee...I should be able to drink from a mug I like. :)
I've heard these You Are Here Starbucks mugs are hard to find, but that's not going to stop me from putting it on my list and looking. First stop when we walk into Magic Kingdom? Starbucks!
{photo credit - huffmans on flickr}
I dream of having a pair of Mickey Ears with my Instagram and Twitter handle, @jonahbonah, embroidered on them. Okay, maybe I don't really dream about them, but I've been talking about them for a couple of years now. The last time I was at the Parks, I was told they couldn't embroider the @ symbol. Hmmpph. That spoiled my plans. But, I asked a few of my Disney pals, and even a few folks employed with Disney, and turns out they CAN do the @ symbol...it just depends on who you ask. Second stop after walking into Magic Kingdom? Le Chapeau on Main Street, USA!

An Insiders Look at Disney's The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror {video}
This past May my family and I were invited to Disney Social Media Moms Celebration {#DisneySMMC} at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, FL. While we aren't strangers to the Disney Parks in Orlando, this was our first time at #DisneySSMC on the east coast. {Last year we were invited to the Celebration in Disneyland, CA.}
The amazing team that organized the event this year were able to pull off a pretty incredible experience for a select few of us. We got to choose a ride {Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Rock 'N' Roller Coaster featuring Aerosmith, or The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror} and ride our selection with a GoPro mount capturing every moment. Did I mention we got to do this BEFORE the parks opened to the public. I chose The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. It's my most favorite ride at Walt Disney World, and well I had to choose quickly before the spots filled up. My family had no choice. {buwahaha!}
Ever wonder what your face looks like when you're terrified? Well, I got to see mine. You never really get to see the looks on your kids faces either, because you're too afraid for yourself. My video shows each and every one of our reactions!
Take a look!
So much fun, right?? What's your favorite ride at Walt Disney World Resorts?? Are you a thrill seeker or an easy-going rider? Tell me in the comments!
Disclaimer: I was invited to DisneySMMC and was able to take part in some pretty amazing activities and events. This event was NOT free. However, we did receive discounted lodging and park tickets. Disney did NOT as me to write this post. All opinions are my own.

Recruiting Guests in Tomorrowland for Disney Parks Blog
{photo credit: +Disney Parks}
After the movie, our job was to find a family in the Magic Kingdom, give them a pin, and recruit them to come along to Tomorrowland with us. {If you've seen the movie then this makes sense to you. If you haven't seen the movie, what's stopping you? It was out of this world FANTASTIC!!}
To say a lot goes in to filming is an understatement. We filmed at least 20 minutes of footage and they used two seconds of us. Not kidding. Check us out in the video below. {we're at 0:49}
Even though our major film debut was short, we had an extraordinary time with Disney Parks Blog and 498 of their readers!! Thank you, Disney Parks Blog!!

The NEW Memory Maker at Walt Disney World Resort
Last week, we were at Walt Disney World Resort having the time of our lives at Disney Social Media Moms Celebration. One of the perks to this event was receiving the Memory Maker as a gift. This truly is a gift that will give for years, if not generations, to come.
I've told you before how much I love the Memory Maker. The Imagineers at Disney have made it even better! Before, you would get professional quality photos from every PhotoPass photographer you stopped to get photos from and ride photos from each ride that offered a photo experience. NOW, there are videos. You guys, this is AMAZING!! When you ride Seven Dwarfs Mine Train or The Twilight Zone's Tower of Terror you get a video from your ride experience! Watch this:
So. Much. Fun. Right? For $199, or $169 when purchased three days or more in advance, you can add the Memory Maker to your My Disney Experience account, too. Each time you stop in front of a PhotoPass photographer to have a photo taken, you simply have them scan your Magic Band or your PhotoPass Card. When you ride an attraction you really don't have to worry about scanning your Magic Band or PhotoPass Card, Mickey Knows. Within 24-48 hours {sometimes sooner} your photos will appear in your My Disney Experience account. {If you're missing any photos, by chance, you can call customer service and they can locate your photos and add them manually. It's like magic.}
Tell me, do you purchase the Memory Maker when you go to Walt Disney World? I'd love to see your favorite photos. Leave me a link or share them with me on Instagram, I'm @jonahbonah.
I attended Disney Social Media Moms Celebration and was given the Memory Maker as a gift. All opinions are my own.

Disney's newest full-length feature film Tomorrowland is sure to be nothing short of amazing! {I mean, George Clooney. Need I say more?}

Watch this.
Right?! You don't need to be a George Clooney fan, a Disney fan OR a Sci-Fi fan to see that this movie is going to be an edge-of-your-seat kind of film. May 22, 2015 it hits theaters. Mark your calendar. Make it a date night!

Disneynature's Monkey Kindgom Coming Soon!
Last year, I had the privilege of seeing Disneynature's Bears while at Disney Social Media Moms in Disneyland before it came out in theatres. It was magical. I knew instantly that I needed to have this movie in my family's video library, because my animal-loving son, Jett, would adore watching the bears and gaining new knowledge of these great animals. In fact, I need to have ALL of the Disneynature movies in my collection. I have a feeling they would get watched all.of.the.time!
This year, on Earth Day, Disneynature is releasing a new movie, Monkey Kingdom. This time it's about monkeys! {in case you didn't get that from the title. LOL} Who doesn't love the cute little faces of monkeys? Even those seemingly grumpy gorillas are cute!
Watch the short videos below and then make your plans! Earth Day is April 17, 2015.
Life is an adventure for Maya, the clever and resourceful blonde-bobbed monkey in “Monkey Kingdom,”
Disneynature’s new feature film set among ancient ruins in the storied jungles of South Asia. Maya’s world is
forever changed when she welcomes her son, Kip, into her complicated extended family. Like all families, Maya’s
has more than its share of colorful personalities—and she’s determined to give her son a leg up in the world. When
their longtime home at Castle Rock is taken over by powerful neighboring monkeys, Maya's whole family retreats,
and she uses her street smarts and ingenuity to uncover untapped resources amidst strange new creatures and
unsettling surroundings. Ultimately, they will all have to work together to reclaim Castle Rock, where Maya can
hopefully realize her dreams for her son’s future.
Featuring a rich variety of characters, including a mischievous mongoose, simple-minded langur monkeys,
predatory leopards and monitor lizards, “Monkey Kingdom” is narrated by Tina Fey (“30 Rock”), directed by Mark
Linfield (“Chimpanzee,” “Earth”) and co-directed by Alastair Fothergill (“Chimpanzee,” “Bears”). With music from
award-winning composer Harry Gregson-Williams ("The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the
Wardrobe," “Shrek” movies), Disneynature’s eighth True Life Adventure—the follow-up to 2014’s “Bears”—swings
into theaters April 17, 2015.
Set in the storied jungles of South Asia, “Monkey Kingdom” showcases the adventures of new mom Maya, a clever
and resourceful blonde-bobbed monkey who’s determined to give her son a leg up in the world.
From Oscar, Sita, Scout, and the countless wild creatures we share this planet with, thank you! Disneynature is making a difference. With every ticket purchased for Disneynature’s Monkey Kingdom opening week (4/17 – 4/23), Disney will donate to benefit Conservation International to help benefit monkeys and other endangered species in their natural habitat.

Have Courage and Be Kind {a Disney's Cinderella Review}

Do you remember when there would be a Disney movie on TV on Sunday nights? The Magical World of Disney, it was called. I can still recall sitting on the couch with my little sister and brother, with our popcorn and blankets, to watch whichever movie was coming on that night. I grew up LOVING Disney movies. All of them. I don't think I've watched a single one and not liked it, at least a little.
The original Cinderella was always a favorite. Even as a kid, I can remember it being a story of hope and overcoming a temporary circumstance. {My thoughts were maybe not as deep, but I could feel it.} If Cinderella could find her Prince Charming, we all can. Or, maybe I was just thinking that there's a good and handsome man out there for us all. If she found him, so can we. I digress.
In the NEW, non-animated, beautifully written and directed, modern version of Cinderella, you can expect the same kind and gentle Ella {Lily James} being tormented by her evil stepmother {Cate Blanchett} and two ugly-hearted step sisters {Sophie McShera and Holliday Grainger}. She's still very much so a lover of animals. Gus Gus is in the movie, of course! He was always my favorite mouse.
She's given the name Cinderella after...well, you'll want to see that scene for yourself. Once her Fairy Godmother {Helena Bonham Carter} makes a way for her to make it to the Royal Ball, she finds Prince Charming {Richard Madden} and, just like in the old movie, they fall in love.
The writers found a fresh way to re-tell a classic story. The 2015 version is not exactly like the 1950 version. {Was it really that long ago that the original Cinderella debuted?} For instance, we're given a glimpse of Cinderella's mother before she passes away...but, not before she gives her advice that could be used by all of us today. Have courage and be kind.
I really don't want to give anymore spoilers. Trust me when I say, you are NOT going to want to miss seeing Cinderella on the Big Screen. Look for it in IMAX even.
Disney's NEW Cinderella opens everywhere, today, March 13th. Grab your prince charming or little princesses and make it a date night tonight!
I was given advance screening tickets to see Cinderella before it opened. The review you just read is my opinion. I was NOT paid to write a review. All photos are courtesy of Disney.

*UPDATED* My Grown Up Christmas List {2014 Edition}
Each year I get asked the same question, "What would you like for Christmas?" And, each year I say, "I don't know. How about ____?" After the New Year rolls around I'm always glad I got a gift card or two and some cash for Christmas...it means I get to go out and buy that other thing I forgot I wanted. Us girls have a lot of wants...we just forget what they are when put on the spot.
This year, when the things I'd like to have most came to mind, I decided to add them to this list of things I'm dreaming of! {it's also a sneaky ploy to gain more page views on this here blog, too. I kid. Maybe.}
Without further ado, my grown up Christmas list... {in no particular order}
I am IN LOVE with these bracelets...and feel the need to own one of each. I currently only have one, the Disneyland one. I got it as my one special souvenir from being invited and attending Disney Social Media Moms in California this past April. I'm dying for more!
Y'all! I need these tees in my life. First, Florida is HOME. Second, I say "y'all" all of the time! It's a southern thing.

Samsung Galaxy Camera

Ariat Women's Boots in size 8
Since changing my eating habits and lifestyle a few months ago, I've been eager to learn. I want to know ALL of the good foods to eat and ALL of the bad! Knowledge is POWER! This Practical Paleo book looks like a wealth of information that I'm looking for.

Olloclip for the iPhone 5
**Under each picture is a link to each product that I'm dreaming of. Some of them may be affiliate links. This simply means that in purchasing a gift for me, you're also helping me purchase gifts for my children. :o)

Samsung Galaxy Camera
While on assignment at a recent media event to Kissimmee, FL I discovered the need for this beauty! While the iPhone takes amazing photos, my storage is always fully occupied. With this amazing camera as my back-up I can shoot and send photos directly to social media outlets with the built-in wi-fi. It's a must-have for any blogger or social media extraordinaire!

Ariat Women's Boots in size 8
Speaking of Y'ALL, how do I live in the South and not own a pair of cowgirl boots?? I've wanted a pair for a couple of years now but, that price tag. This is a "Wish List", after all. Maybe Santa will be extra nice this year?

If you know me in real life then you know that my iPhone battery is constantly dying. I have a charger in my truck and in the house. I go through those every few months because even they are always dying. When I found out OtterBox had this new Resurgence Power Case that will keep my iPhone battery charged twice as long, I knew I had to add it to my Grown Up Christmas List!

I have dreamed of one of these for a very long time. How cool would it be to capture Jett's bug finds with the Macro lens? And, the Fish Eye lens is just awesome! This is something I just wouldn't buy for myself...as much as I love it, throughout the year my family needs more important things. But, to receive it as a gift? That's a whole new ball game!

6 Pack Fitness Tote

6 Pack Fitness Tote
Eating healthy has its downfall when we go out as a family. It has effected the options I have when we go out to restaurants or even for a family outing. With the 6 Pack Fitness Tote I can pack my healthy foods in individual containers and tuck them inside this fancy cooler bag. There's room for food containers, water bottles, supplements AND the things I would normally carry in my purse. A fit girl's best friend! {In case you're wondering all about it...click on the link under the picture and check out all of the features.
