summer fun {i heart faces}

i really should do these photo contests more often.
not only does it give me a reason to pick up my camera, it also {sometimes} results in super cute pictures of my kiddos!

this month's photo theme over at i heart faces is *summer fun.*

when i think of summer i almost always first think of the pool.
such great photos often come from the pool!!!



oh mckinley...she's my little mermaid.

it's been a long time since i've entered an iheartfaces photo challenge.

and, since this has become my current favorite picture of jonah AND the challenge theme is black and white...why not enter it?

even if this photo doesn't win me a dreamy tamrom 17-50mm lens it's still a keeper!

being from florida we don't get snow. ever.
imagine our giddiness when the first snow fell after we moved to fort campbell, ky.

this is one of my most favorite pictures of our snow fun since we've been here.

Happy Birthday iheartfaces!

I've seen this blog around for a while...
I've always wanted to join in...
I felt as if my photography wouldn't be "good enough".

This year is different.
I'm not going to worry so much about what others think.
If it makes me happy then it's special.

This photo makes me happy.
It makes me smile.

So, I'm entering in the iheartfaces Week 2 Challenge, "Best Face Photo".



McKinley was eating her corn tonight and LOVING it!
The look on her face is as if nothing else could make her happier.
