being from florida we don't get snow. ever.
imagine our giddiness when the first snow fell after we moved to fort campbell, ky.

this is one of my most favorite pictures of our snow fun since we've been here.

WARNING: there are a ton of pics in this post.
don't say i didn't warn ya!

the weatherman told us 6-10 inches of snow was headed our way.
i didn't believe him.
the last time he said we were to get 2-6 inches we only got a half inch.
see why it was hard for me to believe him?
well, he was right on this time.
we got at least 6 inches.
Hubs said it's more like 8 inches.
i say it's a LOT!

The Hunky Hubs and I looked at each other last night as the snow fell and again this morning and said "can you believe we live here??"
it's so awesome to live where it snows.

about five minutes after these pictures were taken she screamed.
cold is not her friend!


sledding was a huge hit...
once we found the perfect little hill.

of course, Daddy had to try it out first.
ya know, to make sure it was safe.

The GREAT Snow of 2010! Part 2

Us Southerners (read Floridians) are having sort of love/hate feelings towards these cold freezing temperatures.
The temp outside today is a mere 10 degrees.
Yep, FREEZING.
Actually, below freezing.
But, we've bundled up and braved it with seasoned Cold Weather Folks.



I'm not exactly sure why my boys love sticks...
{note to self: buy the boys pick up sticks for the boys' Christmas presents for next year.}

Jett found himself on the ground more times than not.




He finally decided to just accept it and play the best he could.




Wanna know why you don't see Jake in many of my photos these last few days?
He has a new Best Bud, Trenton.
Trenton has a great big hill in his backyard...
of course, it's more fun there.


I was lucky enough to grab this ONE before he ran off.


So, that was our GREAT Snow of 2010,
thus far.
Maybe we'll get more.
Rumor has it, Fort Campbell doesn't get much more than this per year.
We'll see.

The GREAT Snow of 2010! Part 1

We got snow.
YAY!!
Not much.
But, we got snow!

Being a Floridian at heart, I jumped outta bed and ran to the window to see how much snow had fallen through the night.
I was so excited to see this...


All of my kids (The Hunky Hubs is scooched into that category for this day) ran out to play in the snow before work/school.










Jonah was given a lesson in which snow was okay to eat...
never eat yellow snow!


McKinley took part in the snow festivities for all of...
five minutes.
She's our little princess...
too much cold is no good for her!
