on the road...

I know I'm not the only one to ever travel with children in tow...but, I have a great couple of "road trippers"!!! (I know the other two would have done great too!!!)

McKinley, well, she had her own idea of fun...she loves to scream apparently!!!!


Jake Austin and I looked for shapes in the clouds...

"see the dinosaur....he has his mouth open..."


"look Mom, a pirate ship!!!"

I don't think those items were in those particular clouds but he found those two things on our journey!!!!!

Photography while driving....don't worry...I never took my eyes off the road. (hence, the wonky pic!!!)


I got better....again, eyes still on the road!


Next time we take a road trip it'll be with Daddy to the beach house!!! Woot-woot!!!!

a crafty getaway...

I was able to escape this past weeked and go scrapbook for a WHOLE day!!! I left Jonah and Jett with Ganny and Poppy and headed down to Deltona...stayed with Aunt Shari, Uncle Tim and Jessica. I took Jake Austin and McKinley with me.

The next morning Aunt Shari and I got up and headed to Orlando for a FULL DAY of scrapbooking. (thank you Jessica for watching Mac and Jake!!! You were a lifesaver!!!) More than 900 girls in one room creating scrapbooks filled with years and years of memories....so much FUN!

it's a little nuts around here today...mckinley is crying (she's so tired), jett is yelling cause his brothers keep running from him and the big boys are running around the house...literally, one big circle around the whole inside of the house. :o)

on a side note...McKinley started eating cereal. YAY!!! as for it filling her belly so she'll sleep better at night...this is NOT the case! i sure wish it were....

how does your garden grow...

About 4 weeks ago, March 18th to be exact, we planted a little garden. I've wanted to do this for a couple of years and this year my wish was granted! (only I didn't do any of the work. Haha...all part of the plan!!!)

Here's my little farmers tillin' up the land...she's even kinda crazy 'bout my farmers tan...oh, sorry, I didn't mean to break out in song...there's just somethin' about that song...and, well, it fits here!!! Don't ya think? :o)


A little lesson from Dad in Horticulture before they begin. (that's a word you never thought I'd say, huh...I bet you thought I didn't even know what it means...well, I bet they had Horticulturists at the Alamo too!!!! HA!)

Yep. Me and Hubs have been married seven years!!! As of the 14th actually....ok, so I'm late in posting...get used to it! :o)



I kid you not, I cried when the FedEx lady dropped off the box...the tears really started pourin' when I opened the box...I was down right sobbing when I found yellow and white tulips...





These were the same flowers that I carried on our wedding day...AWWWWW...I know he's the sweetest man alive! And he's MINE...all mine! Go get your own sweetie ladies!

Easter Sunday...

Every Sunday morning is an exciting morning in our home. With four kiddos and two adults to dress, and breakfast to eat, and Bibles to grab...it gets a little hectic.

There's one little one who EVERY Sunday throws a fit over Mommy's choice of wardrobe for him. Jake Austin. This particular Sunday he had new duds, they all had new duds, (thanks Grandma!) and I even discussed with Jake what he would be wearing. He said ok. THEN, on Sunday morning....wow!!! He had a meltdown. He did NOT want to wear a collared shirt. And if I would let him wear jeans then he would wear the collared shirt. UGH!!! I did not give in though. He looked handsome and well, it doesn't matter...he was wearing what I wanted him to wear!!! (who's whining now???? :o) I just want my kiddos to look nice. Is that too much to ask??)

So, here he is. He's finished with the crying. He had moved on to pouting!
