How to Make a Collage Wall with Your Instagram Photos

Last year I shared with you how to get your favorite Instagram photos out of digital lock-up. I told you that the black and white photos would become a collage above my fireplace. If you follow me on insta, then you've seen a peek of the collage...

This is how far it's come. I still have to add September-Decmeber to the wall, but I'm loving it so far! Best part, based on the space that I used in 2015, I will have enough room to add pictures for the next 3-4 years. Holla!!

So, how can YOU start your own collage wall with your Instagram photos?? 

• First, get your photos printed onto 4x4 photo paper at your local printer. I get mine printed at Walmart. 
• Find a place in your home that you're willing to devote to all of your favorite photos. 
• Then, grab your photos and your glue gun, and start gluing your pics to the wall. Yep, glue them!
• PRO TIP: Take this advice from a gal who has glued photos to the wall and taken them down, once or twice, because of crookedness or from them not being centered. Get a level or a ruler and use that to help put the pictures straight on the wall.

How to Get Your Favorite Instagram Photos Out of Digital Lock-Up

2015 will be the year I get my favorite Instagram photos off of my computer, out of digital lock-up, and print them. The black and white ones will become a huge collage above my fireplace. All of 2015's best memories will be on display for us to see everyday. The ones in color will go in a scrapbook or photo album...any book that my kids can hold and flip through. Trust me, it won't be anything fancy. And, that's okay. 

I use the self-printer at Walmart to print my photos in 4x4 size. 

When is the last time you printed photos to be enjoyed? It can be overwhelming, I know. But, it doesn't have to be.  

Here's my best tip: print a months worth at a time. If you start now, you can print only your favorites from January and February to be caught up for 2015. Then, at the end of March, you can print only your favorites from March. {If you want to work on 2014, too, print one month from 2014 each time you print for a month in 2015.}

happy friday

the last two weeks have been sort of a whirlwind. i've been sewing day and night to help support my little family. hubs has been taking care of the kids. the roles are a bit reversed. at first, we liked it. we were thinking we could maybe get used to this. now, he's ready to get back to work and i'm ready to resume my housewife duties.

don't misunderstand. i love that my sewing has been such a blessing. and i really love to sew. and my husband does an amazing job of maintaining the kids and the house. heck, this house has more order in it now that he's in charge of the day to day routine. {it's the military roots, ya know.} but, a man's heart is providing for his family. bringing home the bacon. going to work and feeling a sense of purpose every day. it's just how they're wired.

oh, i'll still be sewing. i think now that i know what i'm capable of {and hubs is aware of it as well} i won't be able to stop the pace i've set. i enjoy it too much. i love being able to put fabrics together to create something that so many of you love. it's rewarding. fulfilling. it makes my heart happy.

i ran a solid mile for the first time in 9+ months. it needs to happen more often. and it will.


my make-shift office for the day. i had a bunch of halloween totes to sew and i didn't want to be confined to my usual studio. i moved to the living room so i could have tv and lots of light!


mr bobby and mrs kathy came to visit miss mabry. and they went to church with us. i love it when we go to church with friends or family.


dinner with uncle adam and aunt kris = "tousin" time!!! oh, nat and no, we love you guys so much!!!


my best friend, tera had her baby. luke gordon came almost seven weeks early and scared the daylights out of me {and i know his momma and daddy} but he's here and he's healthy. as a matter of fact, i talked to her today and he is going home MUCH sooner than the doctors originally anticipated. PRAISE GOD!!!


mckinley had a birthday party to go to last week. it was monster high themed and since that's kind of halloween-ish and in october there were halloween-ish games. so fun! in this game mckinley was dressed as a mummy. the best mummy won. {happy birthday, zoe!}


oh, how i hate hate hate matching socks. that's why i have jake do it. :o)


mabry loves to be held. when i posted this picture on instagram i told a short story...once upon a time there was a wee princess that cried and cried. when her momma picked her up she was happy and she slept. the end. it's the absolute truth. {a couple of you asked if i had a sling or wrap. i do. i have an ergo that one of my followers so graciously sent me. AND i just spoke to a gal who makes wraps that it is going to send me one for review. i can't wait to share it with you all!!}

well, that's the last two weeks in a nutshell. not too exciting, but pretty amazing. time spent at home with my people. and with God. i just can't ask for a whole lot more than that. {other than maybe a J O B for the hubs. we know it's God's timing, though. we KNOW that.}

hello friday

although this past week has been one of the very hardest for us it's also been full of blessings. we've been blessed with abundant prayer, kinds words from all over the internet, hugs from close friends and family, and small gifts from those who care. God is in this trying time of our lives, we know it!

this week has also been filled with lots of jonahbonah sales. praise the Lord! i've been sewing, sewing, sewing and you've been buying, buying, buying. THANK YOU! please don't stop. i'll keep sewing as long as you're buying. your purchases are helping us provide for our family. we are so grateful for you!

while it's not fun being without a job, hubs is seeing a little bit of a silver lining. he gets to see the kids more often. and he's getting to see mabry do things as a newborn that he really wasn't home for with the other kids. {we'd obviously still LOVE for him to be working...}

mabry was so alert this week. i'm beginning to see her as more of a baby than a newborn. {does that make sense? LOL}


hubs was searching the net for a job when mabry woke up from her nap. of course, she barely wimpered and he was at her crib side to hold her in his arms. this man, y'all...he loves his kids. and i love him.

this picture was taken as we were sitting together...i was at a loss for words as i was trying to write in my journal, he was snuggling with mabry while looking for a job, the breakfast dishes were still on the table. our life is a beautiful mess right now.


i could watch her sleep all.day.long.


having two daughters...it's so special. i have visions of dressing them alike one day. matching dresses and bows...christmas pictures are going to be so cute this year!


how in the world do i have an eleven-year-old? it seems like yesterday he was as teeny as mabry.


this is often nights the scene in my home. i work, she sleeps.


life with a newborn. some days you shower. some days you don't. some days you have a bajillion things to do. some days you have to put your to-do list to the side and hold your baby girl...because before you know it she'll be eleven and you won't know how in the world that happened.


did i mention this is the scene often nights in our home? {we wrote our blissfully domestic posts just like this monday and wednesday nights.}


a good friend of mine stopped by late wednesday night on her way out of town and dropped by these TOMS flags. want to place an order for a TOMS pouch?? i've got plenty! you can either convo me on etsy or email me.


i listed this cute teddy bear toy tote in my shop last night.


and i listed this yellow and aqua floral wristlet, too.

it's been quite some time since i last shared some of what we've been up to on instagram. {you can find me @jonahbonah} let's get caught up, shall we?


/1/ i have mixed emotions about the school year coming to an end...however, homework is one part of school i will never miss!


/2/ we bought a picnic table for the back patio. why did we not do this sooner??? mckinley loves to go outside and draw and color. and we've done some crafting out back on our new picnic table too!


/3/ this was taken on the eve of our eleventh wedding anniversary right after we finished *family movie night* with all of our precious children. only with God on our side could we have made it this far. {i love you, hubs!}


/4/ eleven years. so proud to be his wife. {i forgot my mascara at home...we stopped to buy some. i felt nekked without it.}


/5/ see that blue thing atop my mason jar? yep, that would be called a CUPPOW. it turns your mason jars into travel mugs. genius. my new favorite thing...you'll be hearing more about them from me soon. those kids in the background? they're just digging our garden. i can't wait to have a summer harvest!

/8/ anniversary blue mason jars? yes, please! i may have already purchased 24 of them and feel the need to have more. {for the record, i'm giving three of them away today to the boys teachers for teacher appreciation.  more on that later...i found a SUPER cute printable i can't wait to share with you!}


/9/ smash booking. do you do it? i wouldn't call it scrapbooking. it's more of a whatever-will-fit-that-you-want-to-remember kind of book. well, that kinda sounds like scrapbooking, huh? whatever you want to call it...i went to michael's, bought me a smash book, and got started. the first page? our baby number five!


/10/ oh, you know, just me in another amazing creation from the printed palette. i can't get enough, y'all. blue mason jars and the printed palette. my favorite addictions.


/11/ i captioned this photo on instagram with *so many things i love in this picture. piles of laundry means a well-clothed family. handmade art on my walls. my love on his day off. it's a gloomy day outside, but my heart is full of sunshine.* so true!

/13/ do you take care of you? i know you take care of your husband and your kids and your house and your church family and your {fill in the blank}...but do you take care of YOU? do it. my love tank gets such a boost when hubs tells me to go get my hair done or a pedi or a mani. and when he says go i run out the door! i feel like a new gal when i walk out of that salon. i get a few hours to recharge my *mommy battery*. i truly believe we can take better care of others when we first take good care of ourselves. amen?

these last few weeks have such blessed weeks. i can't wait to see what God has in store for the next few!

before two nights ago and after my mean people suck post i didn't have the energy or the inspiration to blog.

being pregnant this time around has been tough.  and i only just found out, right?

i went to the doc on tuesday and found out i am eight weeks.

EIGHT WEEKS?  that's it?

finding out early always makes for a LOOOOONG pregnancy.

and lots of sickness. oh, the sickness.
nauseousness and vomiting. oy!

so, baby number five will be here on or about september one.

again, i just ask for us to be nice.
